HiTech motorsport's SS2000 Season in review

After a comprehensive rebuild at Hitech Motorsport last winter (which included converting the Toyota 4age engine to dry sump, fitting a quaiffe 6 speed sequential gearbox, installing and wiring an AIM dash/data logging and the fitting of new OER carburetors) Phil Brown had some strong performances in the early rounds. However a huge shunt at Taupo in January meant Phil's ke20 corolla required a massive rebuild. This was carried out by us and also included a few more modifications. Phil missed a few rounds mid season, but the rebuilt camouflaged Toyota corolla returned faster than ever with Phil now being amongst the fastest cars in this series. We dyno tune many cars in this class and it was great to see some strong results from Alan Stewart,in the ex Hitech Motorsport/Grady Homewood Honda Integra DC2, and Brent Thompson, in an EG Honda Civic performing well all season.
